All About Me

I am a professional musician who loves teaching too! I have over 15 years experience of teaching music in a variety of styles and sectors including primary and secondary education. I'm obsessed with the finer details of vocal technique and guitar pedagogy and I tailor what I know to suit your development.
I work in a variety of fields including session work, corporate performances as well as gigs and concert series. I am a soprano soloist and sing with the professional chamber choir Noctis and work as a session vocalist in rock/pop, jazz and musical theatre settings.
I studied Classical Guitar with Peter Wrieden (ARCM under Craig Ogden) which gave me an excellent basis of technique which can be transferred to electric, bass and ukulele.
I have taught students through various examination structures including Trinity Classical, ABRSM Classical and Music Theory, Trinity Rock and Pop and RockSchool from Initial/Debut Grades up to Grade 8 in both singing and guitar.
I love teaching and love performing and writing my own music. I try to keep a good balance of teaching and performance/writing opportunities so my timetable can get full pretty quickly!

YouTube
I've recently started sharing my knowledge on YouTube so students can revisit technique outside of lessons and I am building a catalogue of music education videos for Primary and Secondary music too!
Private Teaching
I teach classroom music across Y1 - Y6 Primary and peripatetic vocal and guitar tuition at Secondary level.
I sometimes teach after school to all ages but this varies depending on my day timetable in my schools.
